JUST IN: Ijaw Women Rights Protection Forum to Hold Official Inauguration June 25 in Warri

The Ijaw Women Rights Protection Forum (IWRPF), a women-focused advocacy organization committed to the protection and advancement of the rights and welfare of Ijaw women, has announced plans for its official inauguration scheduled to hold on Wednesday, June 25, 2026, in Warri, Delta State.
According to a statement signed by the National President of the forum, Comrade Hilda Amogha, the inauguration ceremony will take place at TM Event Center, Airport Road, Warri, Delta State, beginning at 12:00 noon. The event is expected to attract women leaders, community stakeholders, youth representatives, civil society organizations, traditional leaders, and prominent personalities from across the Niger Delta region.
Comrade Amogha stated that the inauguration marks a significant milestone in the organization’s quest to promote women’s rights, social justice, empowerment, and community development among Ijaw women. She noted that the forum was established to provide a strong platform for addressing issues affecting women, encouraging participation in leadership, promoting education, and advocating for gender inclusion and economic opportunities.
The National President called on members, supporters, and the general public to attend the event and support the vision of the organization as it begins a new chapter dedicated to the protection and advancement of women’s rights in Ijaw communities.
As part of the inauguration activities, certificates of appointment and recognition will be presented to members of the pioneer leadership team of the forum. The officials include:
1. President – Comrade Amogha Hilda
2. Vice President – Comrade Mariam Emomotimi
3. Treasurer – Comrade Juliet Idogho
4. Assistant Secretary – Comrade Sophia Ebikahky
5. Welfare Officer – Comrade Abalaere Ebikahky
6. Ex-Officio – Comrade Anty Ande Ebierebo
7. Woman Leader – Comrade Loveth Atubi
8. Provost/Chief Security Officer – Comrade Mary Atangbala
9. Spokesperson – Comrade Ebika Tonfa Oganwu
10. Zonal Chairman – Comrade Ebi Ipopo
The inauguration is expected to formally launch the activities of the Ijaw Women Rights Protection Forum and strengthen efforts aimed at promoting unity, empowerment, justice, and sustainable development among women in the Niger Delta region.
