Oborevwori Celebrates Dame Okwuofu @ 76

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in a congratulatory message issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, commended the former Chairman of the Delta State Civil Service Commission, Dame Nkem Okwuofu, on the occasion of her 76th birth anniversary, for her enduring commitment to the progress of Delta State and her steadfast support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Describing her as an outstanding leader whose contributions to public service and community development remain invaluable.
He noted that Dame Okwuofu has over the years, distinguished herself through selfless service, exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to the welfare of her people, earning the admiration and respect of colleagues, political associates and community leaders.
He recalled her impactful career in both the health and public sectors, where she served in various capacities, including as commissioner and chairman of the Civil Service Commission, contributing significantly to governance and human capital development in the state.
Oborevwori further acknowledged her role in attracting key development projects to her community, including the Obomkpa-Ukwu-Nzu Road and erosion control initiatives that have improved infrastructure and enhanced the quality of life for residents.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate Dame Nkem Okwuofu on her 76th birthday. She remains a respected mother, mentor and stateswoman whose legacy of service continues to inspire many”.
“We thank God for his grace upon her life and pray for continued good health, strength and many more years of fruitful service to humanity”, he added.
