Delta SNYC to Hold Non-Elective Congress

The Southern Nigeria Youth Congress (SNYC), Delta State Chapter, has announced plans to hold its Non-Elective Congress as part of activities marking a significant milestone in the organization’s journey.

According to a statement made available to the media by the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Amb Prescott Onyeka, and the Organizing Secretary, Amb. Jude Ikediashi JP, the congress will bring together members, stakeholders, and young people from across the state to deliberate on key issues as relating to state of the organization and youth development in Delta State.

The statement explained that, “the congress will provide an opportunity for the current leadership to present its one-year stewardship, highlighting achievements recorded, challenges encountered, and strategic plans for strengthening the organization going forward”.

“The event will also feature discussions on the state of Delta State, with particular focus on youth development, youth empowerment, and youth engagement & participation in governance while members and stakeholders will exchange ideas and recommend practical solutions to issues affecting young people”.

“In addition, the congress will serve as a platform to commemorate the first anniversary of the current State Executive Council, celebrating one year of leadership and service to the youth of Delta State”.

“A major highlight of the event will be the graduation ceremony for beneficiaries of the third batch of the SNYC Real-time Skill Empowerment Programme. The beneficiaries, who commenced training earlier this year in various vocational and entrepreneurial skills across different centres in the state, will be recognized for successfully completing their training, underscoring the organization’s commitment to equipping young people with practical skills for self-reliance and economic growth”. The statement added.
