FG, ILO Strengthen Social Protection System in Nigeria

Nigeria is strengthening the capacity of institutions and individuals responsible for implementing social protection policies across the country.

This was as the Federal Government, in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Union (EU), held a five-day Leadership Transformation and Capacity Building Programme for directors from the public and private sectors, alongside trade union representatives.

The programme is aimed at ensuring that social protection interventions are effective and inclusive, while enhancing workers’ productivity.
