Mulade Congratulates Gbaramatu Monarch on Appointment as INDS Advisory Council Chairman

Warri, Delta State — Chief Mulade B. Sheriff, PhD, the Ibe Serimowei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom and National Democratic Party (NDP) candidate for the House of Representatives, Warri Federal Constituency, has congratulated the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, on his appointment and inauguration as Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Niger Delta Studies (INDS), Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State.

In a congratulatory statement, Chief Mulade described the appointment as a fitting recognition of the monarch’s wisdom, leadership qualities, intellectual disposition and longstanding commitment to the development of Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Niger Delta.

He noted that the appointment was particularly significant given the strategic role of INDS in promoting research, scholarship and policy-oriented solutions to the socio-economic, environmental and developmental challenges confronting the Niger Delta.

Chief Mulade expressed confidence that the monarch’s extensive knowledge of the region, experience in traditional leadership and commitment to sustainable development would contribute significantly to the Institute’s efforts in advancing socio-ecological justice, regional development and empowerment.

He also commended Niger Delta University and the Institute for recognising the importance of traditional leadership and indigenous knowledge in addressing the region’s unique challenges.

Chief Mulade prayed for greater wisdom, good health, strength and longevity for the monarch as he assumes his new responsibility, expressing optimism that his leadership would further strengthen the Institute’s contribution to peace, knowledge and sustainable development across the Niger Delta.

“Congratulations, Your Majesty. May this new academic responsibility further strengthen your contributions to knowledge, peace, justice and sustainable development in our beloved Niger Delta,” he stated.
