Niger Delta Leaders, Monarchs, Activists Celebrate NUPRC CCE at 61

Niger Delta leaders, traditional rulers and human rights activists have celebrated the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Mrs. Eyesan Oritseme-Oyetewa, on the occasion of her 61st birthday.

In a goodwill message, the group described the NUPRC chief executive as a beloved daughter, sister, mother and distinguished public servant whose leadership qualities, humility, diligence and accessibility have earned her commendation.

The signatories praised her contributions to the development and regulation of Nigeria’s upstream petroleum sector, noting that her service since assuming office had demonstrated professionalism, intellectual capacity and a commitment to public duty.

They prayed for Mrs. Eyesan Oritseme-Oyetewa to be blessed with sound health, long life, greater wisdom and renewed strength to continue serving the people of the Niger Delta and Nigeria.

The congratulatory message was signed by HRM King Bubaraye Dakolo, Agada IV, Ibedaowei of Ekpetiama Kingdom and Chairman, Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers; HRM King Dr. Ateke Michael Tom, JP, Sekuro of Niger Delta and Amayanabo of Ancient Okochiri Kingdom, Okrika; and Madam Ann-Kio Briggs, foremost human rights activist and former spokesperson of the Ijaw Republican Assembly.

Other signatories include Dr. Samuel Johnson Okpoko, Barr. Olokumo B. Christian, and Chief Diongoll Ebikitin Sunday, PhD, a human rights activist and historical scholar.

The group wished the NUPRC CCE continued success, fulfilment and greater accomplishments in her service to humanity and the nation.
