PDP debunks News Of Wike’s Emergence As Atiku’s Running Mate

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has refuted the news making the round that the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has been picked as the running mate to the party’s candidate Atiku Abubakar.

According to the party’s
National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday, said the party was yet to announce the running of Atiku Abubakar.

Recall, there were reports on Tuesday that the Rivers state governor, Wike has emerged as the party’s flagbearer’s running mate following an election by the screening committee.

Ologunagba, further insisted that the report that Wike had been chosen as the running mate to Atiku should be discarded as it was mere rumour and speculation.

He explained that the party would disclose the running mate to its presidential candidate after the panel constituted to look for a suitable candidate is done with its assignment.
