JUST IN: Pondi wins Burutu federal constituency seat for the 3rd-time

The member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, RT.Hon Julius Pondi of the Peoples Democratic Party has been declared winner of Saturday’s house of representatives election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

It was gathered that Pondi garnered 11,863 votes to beat his All Progressives Congress APC, counterpart, Emibra Agbeotu who scored 5,469 votes.

According sources, his victory was officially announced by INEC collation officer, briefly after collation of results in Burutu Local Government Area.

It was learned the lawmaker would become the first person to represent the constituency for a third time.
