A Man kills Okada rider, sells his bike to marry third wife

A small income business man in Bauchi state identified as Mamuda Zakari Ya’u was allegedly accused of killing a 25 year old Okada rider Basiru Mohammed and sold to marry the third wife.
The Bauchi state police command said the unfortunate incident occurred on 16 October 2025 at Dr. Sulaiman Adamu Quarters behind old airport Area.
A statement by the command spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil issued to journalists Friday night said, the accused person used sharp objects to attack the victims.
“He attacked the Okada rider with a knife and stole his motorcycle Bajaj Boxer with registration plate number NNG 813 UM. CSP Wakil
CSP Wakil said, the victim late Basiru Mohammed was shooting for help because he was overpowered and that alerted people to chase the thief but he went at large, later they successfully arrested him after he sold the bike.
The state commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, directed the criminals Investigation Department to conduct a thorough investigation regarding the allegation for onward presentation to the court of law.
