Activist Ozobo demands justice over alleged killing of Mr Ugo By Soldier in Delta

Renowned Niger Delta activist Ozobo Austin has strongly condemned the unjust killing of Mr. Ugo by a soldier in Plantation City, Otokutu, Delta State, describing it as an extra-judicial murder.
Ozobo demands that the soldier be brought to justice to serve as a deterrent to others. He has called on the Commanding Officer of 3 Battalions, the Chief of Army Staff, and the Delta State Commissioner of Police to swiftly investigate the incident and ensure justice for the victim’s family.
In his statement, Ozobo emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in the investigation, stressing that the suspect soldier should face the consequences of his actions.
It was gathered that the deceased, who was in his early thirties and whose wife is heavily pregnant, was attacked and stabbed after being beaten and assaulted by the soldier. Ugo sustained deep injuries to his hand and ribs, leading to his death shortly after he was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
