Actress Cynthia Erivo Protects Ariana Grande after Fan Jumps Barricade at ‘Wicked’ Premiere

BRITISH actress and singer Cynthia Erivo came to her friend Ariana Grande’s rescue during the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore after a fan suddenly jumped over a barricade to grab the pop star.

In viral videos shared online, Ariana was seen walking arm-in-arm with Cynthia and co-star Michelle Yeoh, greeting fans along the carpet. But things quickly turned chaotic when a young man leapt over the barricade and wrapped his arm around Ariana, startling everyone around.

Cynthia immediately stepped in, pulling the fan off Ariana as security rushed in to handle the situation. Michelle Yeoh was also seen trying to calm Ariana, who appeared shaken by the incident.

The singer later regained her composure and continued down the yellow carpet, with Cynthia keeping a protective arm around her.

The man, identified online as “Pyjama Man,” later confirmed in an Instagram Story that he had been arrested but was released shortly after.
