Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), fondly referred to by millions as “Daddy G.O.,” will conduct a two-day Holy Ghost Rally with the theme: A New Beginning, at the University of Ibadan.

The annual special visitation is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 13th January 2026, at 4:00 PM, followed by an early morning session on Wednesday, 14th January 2026, at 6:00 AM at the UI Old Sports Field behind the Kenneth Dike Library.

The event, widely publicised among the university community and faithful across the region, is expected to draw large crowds of students, staff, and residents to the historic institution.

Pastor Adeboye’s visits are renowned for their vibrant worship, preaching, and prayer sessions.

The choice of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria’s oldest degree-awarding institution, underscores the church’s ongoing outreach within educational communities.

Such rallies are a staple of the RCCG’s evangelical calendar, often focusing on themes of faith, revival, and student empowerment.

Organisers have urged attendees to arrive early to secure space for what is anticipated to be a significant gathering of worshippers on the prestigious campus.
