Again, Buhari appoints Dabiri as Diaspora Commission’s chairman

Mrs Abike Dabiri Erewa has been re-appointed as the chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The reappointment was confirmed on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, by the commission.

According to a tweet on the Twitter handle of the Commission, it stated that the president had reappointed Abike Dabiri for a second term as the chairman of the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM)

The Commission applauded Hon. Abike Dabiri for believing that the reward for hard work is more work.

It was learned she had effectively supervised the agency in handling cases involving Nigerians and abroad, the recent case she handled was the evacuation of Nigerian students from the war zone in Ukraine and Sudan

Recall, Dabiri was appointed in 2018 into the position after she finished her tenure as a member of the House of Representatives.

However, Abike Dabiri Erewa had been reappointed after completing her first term of 5 years.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Abike Dabiri-Erewa for a second term as the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM). The Commission wrote

“Congratulations to our hardworking Chairman Hon. Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa @abikedabiri who believes that “The reward for hard work is More Work,” the Commission added.
