Again, tanker explodes in Delta community

A tanker laden of petroleum products has gutted fire in Bimbo filling station in Agbarho community near Warri Delta state on Friday.

The incident reportedly occurred when the tanker gutted fire in the process of delivering fuel to the station on Friday.

It was learnt that the situation caused serious panic among residents and motorists in a section of the East-West road in the community.

A community source said one Mr Ejiro Otaigho who witnessed the incident quickly jumped into the tanker and drove it out of the fuel station which save the fuel station and the community from being set ablaze.

The source said the Mr Ejiro drove the tanker with flames of fire to a bridge in the community linking the East-West road and Warri before he abandoned the tanker and escaped.

A post by one Nick Okaredje on WhatsApp added: “If not for Mr Ejiro Otaigho, Agbarho Kingdom could’ve experience Black Friday. We need to celebrate him, when the truck caught fire by Bimbo filling station, he single-handedly drove the truck with fire from there to Agbarho bridge by the slaughter, a brave action.”

Though, no casualty was recorded in the incident. The Police is yet to react to incident.
