Ahead of Tinubu’s inauguration, Niger Delta announces readiness to continue self-determination, resource control agitations

Foremost Niger Delta rights activist, Comrade Ozobo Austin has disclosed the position of Niger Delta to rejuvenate the struggle for resource control, self-determination and state creation under the incoming administration to be led by Bola Tinubu in the Nigeria federation.
This remark was contained in a statement signed by himself which a copy was sent to newsmen on Wednesday morning.
He said Niger Delta region had not gone to sleep with her critical and strategic demands of resource control, self-determination and state creation to balance the political -imbalance in the country.
According to him, the incoming president, Bola Tinubu should be able to shoulder the cross and finally address the concerns of the region to sustain the fragile peace in the Niger Delta.
He emphasized that despite the Niger Delta bore the financial bordering of the region, the region was outrightly neglected by President Muhammed led outgoing administration.
Ozobo said critical stakeholders would soon convey the message of the region’s resolves for resource control, self-determination and state creation after May 29 transition ceremony.
He said the region had suffered for marginalization, deprivation and sideline for so long, adding that the new phase of the struggle is determined to end all forms of marginalization and deprivation in the region.
