ALHAJI MUDASHIRU ADEGBEHA: AN INTENTIONAL CIVIL SERVANT.

O, servant true, of state’s heart,
You play your humble, vital part.
Through public trust, you stand for right.
A guiding star, a beacon bright.

In the tapestry of time, you stitch with purpose clear,
A compass in the storm, where futures gather near.
Each step a promise, every word a seed,
Intentional and true, planting hope where needs exceed.

In hails of power, a steady flame,
A vision cast without a claim,
A compass, points to justice, truth,
A servant’s heart in humble booth.

In every stride, in every breath,
A quintessential civil servant,
The common good, your single aim,
You bear no need for wealth or fame.
You strength is in the work you do.

Your courage shines in tense defense.
Your patience, a true recompense.
With empathy as armor, you the path you seek.

No vanity, no throne, just service as a creed,
A public good, you serve and lead,
A silent hero, a worthy deed,
Intentional leader – The future with us.

Alhaji Mudashiru Adegbeha, the Ówó born Chartered Accountant and the Permanent Secretary (PS), Ondo State Government House and Protocol Department is a man of uncommon grace and divine mercy of God.

His birth, educational journey and present position within the civil service of Ondo State is an embodiment of God’s immeasurable love in the life of an individual.

When the young Mudashiru was gifted to the world many years ago, little did his parents know that the boy “Muda” as he was fondly called throughout his childhood days then is a child of destiny.

As a result, on the 12th of November every year, that child of destiny is being celebrated at home and abroad by the young and old whom he had positively impacted or imparted their lives.

His primary and secondary school mates, university and professional colleagues see him as a rallying point for mutual progressive causes.

Among civil servants in the state, Alhaji as he is popularly known, is a man of the people within the system.
His friendly and magnanimous disposition cut across Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Alhaji’s ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals and work effectively through compassionate consideration of feelings and concerns is second to none.

His appointment or elevation to the office of a Permanent Secretary on the 16th August, 2024 by the Governor, Hon (Dr) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is a testament to long years of truthful, selfless and unblemished service to the Sunshine State.

In fact, never before his appointment has any Accountant in the state’s civil service been elevated to the position of a PS, a feat which he described as a “divine arrangement.”

His colleagues now call him a “Story Changer!”

As the “de jure and de facto” Accountant of the Government House and Protocol Department before his present position, Alhaji Mudashiru Adegbeha successfully managed and piloted the financial portfolios of Government under two Executive Governors consecutively without blemish.

He is a man that is generally known to be above board in matters of integrity, honestly and uprightness.

As the young but highly cerebral Permanent Secretary celebrates his birthday this year again, it is expected that he will rededicate himself the more to the service of God and humanity.
