The National Chairman of the Amnesty Phase 3 leader, General Godstime Ogidigba, has strongly condemned the violent attack on two of his members, Ebiwone Sunday and God’s time Timi Dickson, allegedly orchestrated by Elaye Slaboh and his group.

The incident reportedly occurred on October 11, 2025, at the Igbogene axis of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

According to eyewitness accounts, the attack took place during a scheduled meeting of some Phase 3 Amnesty leaders who had gathered to deliberate on leadership training and empowerment opportunities for their delegates.

At about 8 a.m., Elaye Slaboh allegedly stormed the venue with over 50 armed men suspected to be cultists, and disrupted the meeting. The assailants reportedly held Ebiwone Sunday and God’s Time Timi Dickson hostage, forcing them to kneel for several hours before releasing them around noon. In a statement issued shortly after the incident, General Ogidigba expressed deep concern over what he described as a “lawless and provocative act” capable of destabilizing peace efforts in Bayelsa State.

He called on all relevant security agencies, the Governor of Bayelsa State, and the Amnesty Office to take immediate action to investigate and restrain Elaye Slaboh and his group before the situation escalated.

General Ogidigba further emphasised his commitment to peace and stability within the Niger Delta region, warning that he would no longer tolerate such acts of aggression if the authorities fail to intervene.

He urged all stakeholders to prioritize dialogue and lawful conduct in addressing internal leadership disputes within the Amnesty Phase 3 structures.
