APC Chairman Pledges Social Protection and Inclusive Leadership

By Diafa Doubra,
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has reiterated his commitment to steering the party toward policies that prioritize social protection, equity, and the wellbeing of all Nigerians. He made the pledge during a strategic stakeholders meeting held in Abuja, where party leaders discussed plans to strengthen grassroots engagement and restore public trust in governance.
Professor Yilwatda, a respected academic and former gubernatorial candidate, emphasized that under his leadership, the APC would focus on practical solutions to poverty, youth unemployment, and insecurity. He said the party must evolve beyond electoral victories to delivering tangible results for ordinary citizens. Our goal is to build a party that stands for justice, opportunity, and social safety nets, he stated.
He also called for unity within the APC and encouraged members to avoid divisive politics that hinder national progress. According to him, the Renewed Hope agenda championed by President Tinubu offers a blueprint for inclusive development, and the party must align fully with its principles.
The chairman’s remarks come at a time when many Nigerians are calling for political parties to be more accountable and people-centered. Analysts say Yilwatda’s message signals a shift in tone within the APC, from power consolidation to performance driven governance.
As the party gears up for future elections and reforms, the chairman’s vision appears to place social impact and human development at the core of APC’s political strategy.
