The Jajiya Political Movement has slammed a recent media report alleging that Honorable Aminu Sani Jaji, representing Kaura/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency, is involved in anti-party activities and has ties with the opposition PDP.

Mansur Aminu Khalifa, secretary of the APC, Zamfara State, described the report as fabricated and originating from a non-existent elders committee of the APC, North West.

Khalifa stated that Bello Matawalle, the current Minister of State for Defence, has a history of hiding behind non-existent structures to damage the reputation of people of integrity. This behavior, Khalifa claimed, contributed significantly to Matawalle’s defeat in the 2023 governorship elections.

The statement also alleged that Matawalle sponsored fake groups and associations to damage the reputation of Dauda Lawal, the current Governor of Zamfara State. However, this tactic ultimately earned Dauda more sympathy from voters, contributing to his victory in the 2023 governorship race.

Khalifa challenged Matawalle to provide evidence of the non-existent elders committee meeting in Kaduna and release video footage of the meeting.

The statement concluded that Aminu Sani Jaji remains a die-hard supporter of the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that Matawalle’s allegations are baseless and lack credibility.

The Jajiya Political Movement urged the APC National Headquarters to conduct a survey regarding the 20,000 bags of rice donated to Zamfara State by President Tinubu, alleging that Minister Matawalle diverted the rice to elsewhere.

  • The movement called on its supporters to remain focused on promoting the APC and not be swayed by divisionists like Matawalle.
