A Niger Delta socio-political movement, under the auspices of Niger Delta Oil Communities Agenda, (NIDOCA), on Monday, appealed to President-Elect, Ahmed Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to appoint Hon. James Faleke as Chief of Staff.
The appeal was contained in a statement issued on Monday in Asaba, Delta State, and signed by Pastor Emma Akpovoka, the group’s Director, Media and Publicity.
The statement reads, “As President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrives in the country today, we are calling on him to appoint Faleke as Chief of Staff. As a Niger Delta advocacy group, we have done our independent analysis and concluded that the Niger Delta region stands to benefit more from the incoming government of Tinubu and Shettima.
” We also realized that Faleke as Chief of Staff, his competence, intelligence and capability will help the President-Elect to effectively implement his positive agenda for the oil-rich region.”
The group further stated, “We have absolute confidence in Faleke and we are passionately appealing to President-Elect to appoint Faleke as Chief of Staff.”
The group expressed confidence that the incoming government would focus more on the core oil-producing communities in Niger Delta, which had been neglected and marginalized over the years.
“Faleke as Chief of Staff will certainly ensure that the region is well positioned for greatness and rapid infrastructural and human development,” the group reiterated.
