Arewa Cohesion Initiative Takes Step Towards Promoting Unity, Peace, and Development

The Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity, and Development Initiative has taken a significant step in strengthening its structure with the inauguration of its standing committees and interim state coordinators.

The Chairman of the occasion, Honourable. Bature Umar Masari, commended the leader of the initiative for the foresight and dedication that have brought the organization to this point.

He congratulated the appointees and urged them to carry out their duties with integrity, discipline, and humility. He also expressed confidence that the initiative will continue to grow into a force for unity, peace, and development, not just in Arewa but in Nigeria as a whole.

The Director-General of the initiative, Dr. Abdullahi Idris, emphasized the importance of the committees and state coordinators in driving the organization’s vision forward.

“The appointees are expected to work tirelessly to ensure the attainment of the initiative’s objectives. They are expected to promote unity, peace, and development in Northern Nigeria and to encourage good governance and citizen participation in politics.

“The initiative also aims to undertake massive enlightenment programs to educate the people on their basic rights to life, security, education, health, and all-round development.

He explained that the Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity, and Development Initiative aims to promote peace, unity, and development in Northern Nigeria.

“Its objectives include advancing the unity of Northern Nigeria, promoting socio-economic development, and encouraging good governance and citizen participation in politics.

He urged them to work with diligence, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility, noting that the success of the initiative depends on their effective performance.

Dr Abdullahi Idris further explained that the committees inaugurated include the Planning and Strategy Committee, Finance Committee, and Media and Publicity Committee.

“These committees will play a critical role in driving the initiative’s vision forward and ensuring that its objectives are pursued with focus, discipline, and professionalism.

“The state coordinators will be responsible for mobilizing membership, building functional structures, and providing direction and inspiration to their respective state chapters.

The appointees are expected to work tirelessly to ensure the attainment of the initiative’s objectives. They are expected to develop strategic plans, mobilize resources, and promote the organization’s values and programs through effective media and publicity strategies.

He maintained that the inauguration of the standing committees and state coordinators marks a significant milestone in the history of the Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity, and Development Initiative.

Dr Idris asserted that “With the commitment and dedication of our members, the initiative is poised to make a positive impact in Northern Nigeria and beyond.

“We pledge our utmost commitment professionalism and creativity in driving the vision of Arewa Cohesion forward and in ensuring that the message of unity and progress resonates with every citizen of this country. we will continue to do our best to promote the North and Nigeria in general.
