Armed hoodlums ransack homes, kill teenager in Bayelsa

A rampaging six-robbery gang shot dead a 20-year-old while robbing homes with a POS machine in Azikoro town, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Wednesday.

The victim identified as Elo Lucky, was shot by the heartless robbers in the wee hour of the morning for screaming immediately she woke up in shock to see armed men robbing her family.

It was reported that six armed men invaded the Health Centre area of Azikoro town, broke into homes, stole phones, and demanded ATM cards from which they withdrew all their victims’ monies through the POS machines they came along with.

The close source said the deceased who was from Delta State was living with her mother and stepfather. She was preparing to write the supplementary JAMB exams before her murder.

The source stressed that the robbers raided six other homes in the area unresisted. They ransacked homes, robbed victims of their cash, and even threatened to kill those who refused to give their ATM card pins for instant withdrawal through their POS.
