Bandits abduct six Butchers, Livestock dealers and rustle their animals in Zamfara

Armed Bandits blocked convey of Butchers and animal dealers on their way back from Magajin Maitarko market along Dogon Santsi Forest in Gusau Local Government Area.
Narrating the incident, one of the victims closed associates, Mal. Shamsudeen Muhammad said, the armed Bandits blocked Gusau – Dansadau road Friday evening and kidnapped six Butchers and animal dealers.
“The Bandits shut one of them and currently he is in critical condition and the bandits communicated to us that, the injured person is battling with his health. Shamsudeen said.
Mal. Shamsudeen further said, the Bandits demanded two million ransom to be paid for the injured one only but remain silent about the fate of the other five persons.
“The Bandits warned us that, if we delay in paying the ransom money they will kill him because they can’t handle his gunshots wounds.
“The injured person pleaded for us to sell his House and give them the money to release him and we are currently struggling to sell the property to secure for his release. Shamsudeen lamented.
When contacted, one of the the leaders of animals dealers in the state, Mal. Aminu confirmed the incident but said, the animals dealers are four out of the kidnapped victims.
The Zamfara State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Yazid Abubakar said, the command is yet to officially receive a report about the incident and called on the general public to be reporting such incidents to the nearest police station for a swift response.
“Some people are not reporting to us and we had placed secure measures of rescuing kidnapped victims successfully, we had several instances where people make you turn to us after unsuccessful trials and later bailed them out. DSP Yazid said.
