Bauchi Auto Crash Claims 8 Lives, 6 Injured

An accident that occurred on Wednesday, along Darazo – Bauchi expressway in Bauchi state has claimed eight lives, while six others sustained injuries.

The sad incident happened around 1:33 pm, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps, Bauchi state command.

It was reported that the accident occured between a Toyota Hilux and a white commerical Volkswagen Golf 3.

The sad incident comprises 14 persons, out of which 5 are males, 6 females and 3 Children.

Out of the 14 persons involved in the accident, two male adults, three female adults and the three children reportedly died on the spot, while others sustained various injuries.

The State Federal Road Safety Corps averted that the cause of the sad incident is linked to wrong overtaking.

However, the deceased persons have been taken to the hospital for certification while those that sustained various injuries were taken to Darao General Hospital, Darazo, for treatments.
