A US-based organization, Truth Nigeria, has revealed that it alerted Nigerian authorities about an impending attack in Yelewata village, Benue State, days before it occurred on June 13, 2025. The organization’s founder, Judd Saul, accused the government and security agencies of complicity in the killing of Christians by Islamic terrorists.

Saul stated that despite multiple warnings, the authorities failed to act, and the attack resulted in the deaths of 280 Christians. He claimed that the government has been controlling the narrative, determining what incidents are reported and what is suppressed.
