BREAKING: Labour Union Suspends Planned Strike Over Fuel Subsidy

The earlier scheduled planned strike over petroleum subsidy removal, by Nigerian Labour Union, NLC has been suspended.
It would be recalled that the planned strike was earlier scheduled to start on Wednesday, June 7, over removal of petroleum subsidy.
This is according to a statement by the union president, Joe Ajaero.
It was reported that Joe and the government had a meeting on Monday June 5, at the presidential Villa, Abuja, the country’s capital.
At the end of the meeting, the union stated that the earlier scheduled strike action would be stopped.
Joe, the union president asserted that the NLC had to suspend the strike action to enable discussion between the government and the Union.
However, the union and the Government had picked June 19, for the next meeting.
