Breaking: Tinubu Increases Judge’s Retirement Age To 70

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday, June 8, signed the bill to extend the retirement age of High Court Judges from 65-70 years into law.

This is according to a statement signed by Abiodun Oladunjoye, the Director of Information to the president.

He stated that President Tinubu signed into law the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in 1999, presented by the outgoing 9th National Assembly.

During the signing of the amended bill, president Tinubu maintained that his government will strengthen the judiciary, and ensure the rule of law.

Mr president asserted that he’s going to empower judicial officers to execute their responsibilities effectively.
