Budget Padding: National Assembly in rowdy session as Akpabio asks Ningi to apologize

The National Assembly is currently in a rowdy session over the padding budget claims levelled against it.

Remember that the Bauchi Central Senator, Abdul Ningi had accused the Senate of padding the budget to the tune of N3.7 trillion.

According to a reliable source, Ningi the Chairman of the Northern Senators’ Forum, had alleged that the 10th Assembly of the Senate considered and passed N25 trillion as 2024 budget and not the N28.7 trillion that is being executed by the Federal Government.

He made the claim while speaking in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service.

Akpabio challenged Ningi to apologize for denting the image of the Senate with a condemning remark

However, the National Assembly went into a rowdy session while the issue was being discussed on the house.
