Burutu Council Chair, Leaders Pay Condolence Visit to Late Pa Edwin Clark Family in Kiagbodo

The Chairman of Burutu local government Council, Hon. Julius Takeme, political leaders and stakeholders today 13th March 2025 paid a condolence visit to the family of late elder statesman Edwin Clark and pledged their support.

 

Meanwhile, the chairman sympathized with the family for the lost of a great father, an Icon and a national leader, he voluntarily donate a whoopy sum to enable the family address some needs pending when the funeral rites would be conducted.

 

He also stressed that Burutu Council will stood by the family in their moment of grief and will do all that is necessary to support the funeral rites of late Pa. Edwin Clark.

 

Takeme noted, “the life Pa Clark has left behind does not only touched the lives of “you the Children” but the entire Burutu local government, Delta State, Niger Delta, South-South and Nigeria as a whole”.

 

He added that the demise of Pa Clark had created leadership vacuum, and he lamented “who will be the Ijaw torch bearer to move the Ijaw national struggle”.

 

The Chairman was accompanied by his vice, Mrs Georgina Eva, Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi, Wing Commander P.Y Biakpara, Hon. Ebitonmo Anthony Alapala, minority whip in the Delta State Assembly, Hon. Peres Oloye, member Delta State House of Assembly, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, PDP Delta South senatorial chairman, Hon. Dan Yingi, former DTHA member, Hon. Tam Odogu, PDP Chairman Burutu LGA, Hon. J.T Government, Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, Senior policy adviser to Governor of Delta State, Hon. Godknows Angele, Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Agada Arede, Hon. Godwin Odumegrin, Hon. Paul Krugbe, Hon. Asupa Forteta, Hon. Amakama Peremobowei, Hon. Sunny Perekeme, former secretary Burutu Council and others who also supported the family with cash and consoling words to strengthen the family.
