In an era where visibility often comes at a cost and media space is increasingly commercialized, it is both rare and honorable to find men who uphold the noble principles of journalism above personal gain. Today, I proudly pay tribute to two outstanding media icons: Comrade Ozobo Austin, MD/CEO, Congress Newspaper, and Comrade Oyinebi Onduku, MD/CEO, Niger Delta Mirror.

Both gentlemen have consistently demonstrated uncommon commitment in projecting my write-ups to the Niger Delta region and the global audience without requesting or receiving a dime. Their platforms have not merely carried articles; they have amplified voices, strengthened advocacy, and preserved perspectives vital to our people’s development.

Through Congress Newspaper and Niger Delta Mirror, they have given life to conversations that promote unity, accountability, progress, and social consciousness. At a time when many would prioritise profit, these two icons chose principle. Where others might demand compensation, they offered collaboration. Where some see transactions, they see transformation.

Comrade Ozobo Austin and Comrade Oyinebi Onduku exemplify the true spirit of journalism; service to society. Their dedication reflects courage, integrity, and an unwavering belief that information remains a powerful tool for empowerment and development.

The impact of their work goes beyond headlines. It strengthens democratic discourse, inspires civic responsibility, and ensures that critical regional issues receive the attention they deserve both locally and internationally.

To both icons, I express my deepest gratitude. Your generosity, professionalism, and steadfast support do not go unnoticed. History will remember those who used their platforms not merely for influence, but for impact.

May your media institutions continue to flourish. May your voices grow stronger. And may your commitment to truth and community development inspire generations to come.

With profound appreciation and highest regards.
