CEPEJ Unveils 2026 Partnership Work Plan to Promote Peace, Capacity Building, Environmental Justice

The Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), a leading Nigerian civil society organization, has unveiled its 2026 work plan, focusing on synergy, collaboration, and partnership for the betterment of Nigerians and Africans.
The plan outlines CEPEJ’s objectives, including strengthening peacebuilding mechanisms, promoting environmental protection, enhancing community participation in governance, and building capacity for youth, women, and community leaders.
Key initiatives include:
•African for Peace Sports Development Program
•Quiz & Essay Competition for Riverine and Rural Secondary Students
•Youth and Women Empowerment Program
•Niger Delta Peace Support Fund
•Educational Support Fund (Back to School Program)
•Non-Violent Election Program
•Environment Awareness Program
•Drug Abuse and Cultism Awareness Program
According to the statement, CEPEJ will implement these initiatives through community-based participatory approaches, strategic partnerships, and engagement of trained volunteers.
The organization aimed to promote sustainable peace, environmental justice, and community development in Nigeria, aligning with national development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
