Chief Ebis Moni, Pioneer Meinbutus Chairman, has thrown his weight behind Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, urging the Federal Government to renew the pipeline security contract awarded to the company. Moni praised High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, for his efforts in curbing oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and sea piracy in the Niger Delta region.

Moni emphasized that Tantita’s work has significantly restored Nigeria’s economy and improved security in the region. He called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Assembly, and the NSA to ignore calls by oil theft cartels to split the contract, warning that decentralization could undermine efficiency and the fragile peace in the Niger Delta.

This support comes as some individuals and groups have been calling for the decentralization of the pipeline surveillance contract, arguing that it is a regional entitlement. However, Moni and other stakeholders argue that Tantita’s contract is a national responsibility, awarded based on competence and performance.

Tantita Security Services has been credited with reducing pipeline vandalism to zero level, improving security, and boosting oil production in the Niger Delta. The company’s efforts have also led to environmental recovery and improved investor confidence.
