Chief of Army Staff Reaffirms Commitment to Troops’ Welfare

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has reaffirmed that the welfare of troops remains central to operational effectiveness and institutional resilience within the Nigerian Army.
Lieutenant General Shaibu gave the assurance during the inauguration of a Post-Service Housing Development project in Abuja, describing the initiative as a strategic investment in the socio-economic wellbeing and morale of Nigerian Army personnel and their families.
He noted that the housing project reflects the Nigerian Army’s enduring commitment to the holistic welfare of its personnel, adding that such efforts are driven through well-designed policies, prudent resource management, and the provision of enabling infrastructure that enhances quality of life and promotes community living within Army formations and estates.
