Counter Insurgency Operations: Police Train 100 Explosives Detectors

The Nigerian Police Force is advancing training of its officers and men on explosive ordinance disposal, EOD, as part of strategic move to contain insecurity and support ongoing counter insurgency operations in the country

Balkisu Umar Gurku reports that one hundred officers have completed the training and are ready for deployment nationwide.

Two weeks of rigorous training at the police Mobile Force Training School Endehu hills in Nasarawa State brought out one hundred police officers are battle ready.

They were exposed to training on explosive and improvised explosive devices, threat management, chemical, biological and radiological emergency response, risk assessment among others.

The officers were drawn from EOD formations across the country and they are expected to add value to the ongoing counter-insurgency operations.

The training was organised in collaboration with the Nigerian police trust fund.
