Court Remands NEDC Coordinator Danjuma Muhammad in Prison Custody

The federal capital territory high court sitting in zuba, Abuja has remanded the former National project coordinator of the North East Development Commission, Danjuma Muhammad and Chibuike Echem in Suleja Correctional Facility for their Alleged involvement in more than two billion naira Contract Scams.
The two defendants and One other person who is at large are being arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on fifty five count charge bordering on advance free fraud, forgery and award of fake contracts to Kenneth Ifekudu amounting to More than two billion naira from 2022 to 2024.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge which prompted prosecution counsel Olarenwaju Adeola to seek for a date to commence trial while the defense counsel Chukwuka Obidike informed the court of his clients bail application which was opposed by the EFCC’S counsel saying he needed time to file a counter affidavit.
After hearing both parties, Justice Keziah Ogbonna issued the remand order and adjourned the case to March 25th for Commencement of the trial.
