Delta Agog As Chief Evans Gives Grand Funeral Rites to 101-year- Old Grandmother, Late Mama Bomor Etimigba

Leaders and stakeholders gathered in Ayakoromo Town, in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, to bid, farewell to Niger Delta Chief Evans Etimigba’s (JP) 101-year-old grandmother, Mama Bomor Etimigba. The burial ceremony, held on February 13, 2026, was a grand affair, reflecting the esteemed matriarch’s legacy.
Mama Bomor, née Ekerekeme Ikodo, passed away on June 7, 2025, at 101, leaving behind 2 children, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral service and interment took place at her family compound, Diamo Idumu, in Ayakoromo Town, while the reception was held at the Ngbilebiri Primary School Field in the community.
Chief Evans Etimigba, JP, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and condolences. The event featured music by Chief Allen Alabo as guests were thrilled to the fullest.
The funeral rites were attended by leaders, stakeholders, traditional Chiefs, community leaders and government functionaries.
