Delta CP dismisses Policeman over murder, begins trial April 19

The Delta State Police Command has dismissed a policeman accused of extralegal killing of one Mr. Ibe in the penultimate week in the state.

The police inspector identified as Ebri Ubi committed the crime while on Stop and Search duty along Ugbolu-Illah Road in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

The Delta State Police Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, revealed this to newsmen in a chart on Tuesday.

He said, “INSPR Ubi Ebri has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force and will be charged to court tomorrow Wednesday 19th April 2023. The court will be determined tomorrow”.

Recall, following the sad development inspector Ebri Ubi was arrested on the order of the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali and was immediately given a room trial.
