A shocking incident occurred on February 11, 2025, when Nigerian Airforce personnel attached to the Airforce Base in Jeddo, Delta State, allegedly attacked policemen who were performing their lawful duty.
According to reports, operatives of the Quick Response Squad (QRS) had flagged down a Toyota Corolla car with registration number AKD-73-FL, and after a chase, arrested one of the occupants, Ibohama Precious, 25, and recovered suspected Indian hemp, Canadian loud, and other hard drugs.
However, when the policemen arrived at the Airforce checkpoint in Jeddo with the suspect and exhibits, they were stopped by Airforce personnel who demanded that they release the suspect. The policemen refused, and the Airforce personnel allegedly attacked them without justification.
