The Dubril Timiyan Foundation has announced a transformative programme aimed at guiding young minds towards informed and purposeful career paths, with a focus on rural communities in Warri South West and Burutu Local Government Area.
The programme, themed “Career Choice and Its Effects on Rural Communities,” will take place from February 23rd to 27th, 2026. It will bring together students, parents, teachers, and community stakeholders to explore how career choices influence rural development, economic growth, leadership, and community progress.
Through mentorship, counselling, and interactive sessions, participants will gain clarity, inspiration, and direction for a brighter future. The programme will cover topics such as introduction to career, self-realization, modern-day career choices, and the dangers of imposing careers on children.
The foundation aimed to empower the next generation to make career choices that transform lives and build stronger rural communities. The programme is part of the foundation’s efforts to impact society differently.
