Edo Poll: EFCC Apprehends Three Persons Over Alleged Vote-buying

Three people, two men and one woman have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged vote-buying in the ongoing Edo governorship election at Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

 

Meanwhile, the EFCC officials nabbed the three suspects and were taken to their custody around 10:00 a.m.

 

However, in a viral video circulating on the Internet, some residents were seen chanting and insisting that those arrested were not involved in vote-buying and were being unfairly arrested.

 

The governorship election Edo State has been the trend and most talked about in recent days. The main candidates in the race are Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
