The Egbema Focus Group (EFG), an influential body comprising sons and daughters of Egbema across Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Imo States, has extended heartfelt commendations to Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for its outstanding contributions to safeguarding Nigeria’s critical oil infrastructure.
The Tantita, owned by the esteemed High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, and managed by High Chief Kestin Pondi, has been celebrated for its relentless efforts in combating oil theft, protecting the environment, and fostering development in the Niger Delta region.
In a statement released by the National Coordinator of the Egbema Focus Group, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, the group described Tantita Security Services as a beacon of hope for the Niger Delta.
Mingo commended the company for its vital role in curbing illegal crude oil bunkering, which has not only saved Nigeria billions of naira but also preserved fragile aquatic ecosystems that are crucial to the livelihoods of Niger Delta communities.
“Tantita Security Services has gone above and beyond its mandate,” Comrade Mingo stated. “Their efforts have safeguarded Nigeria’s oil pipelines, protected the environment from further degradation, and created job opportunities for thousands of Nigerians. This is a testament to their commitment to national progress and stability.”
He noted that the establishment of Tantita Security Services is a blessing not only to the Niger Delta region but to the entire nation. By addressing environmental concerns and ensuring the security of oil resources, the company has contributed immensely to Nigeria’s economic and ecological well-being.
The Egbema Focus Group also condemned individuals and groups opposing Tantita Security Services, describing them as “enemies of Nigeria’s progress.” Comrade Mingo accused these detractors of having vested interests in illegal crude oil activities, warning that their actions are sabotaging national growth and undermining the collective efforts to secure Nigeria’s resources.
“Those who call for the dismantling of Tantita Security Services are only working to protect their illicit activities,” he asserted. “Such opposition does not serve the interest of the Niger Delta or Nigeria. Instead, it hinders our journey towards a better and more prosperous future.”
The Egbema Focus Group reaffirmed its unwavering support for Tantita Security Services and called on the Federal Government, relevant stakeholders, and the general public to recognize and amplify the company’s remarkable contributions to national development. The group underscored that Tantita’s success demonstrates what can be achieved through visionary leadership and a genuine commitment to the greater good.
