Ewein Day: Stop Intruding On Niger Delta Affairs -Grassroots Liberators Warn Enemies
By Osaro Michael, Benin
Leading Niger Delta group, the Independent Niger Delta Grassroots Liberators has called for peace, unity and love among leaders and stakeholders in the region as they marked this year’s Ewein Day, the founder of Ogbe-ijoh Warri Kingdom.

According to a statement, the group’s president Chief Bene Mamamu and Hon. Felix Yerimbowei Company, coordinator emphasised that no intruder and external bodies should be allowed to cause division among Niger Delta leaders and stakeholders.

The organization warned external forces to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of Niger Delta, citing that their involvement has caused division and factionalism in the region’s leadership. They vowed to resist any further intrusion, emphasizing that it’s time for the Niger Delta to move forward in unity.
The group said Niger Delta can only achieve its struggles and demands except its leadership sees the need to unite and work in collaboration and harmony.
However, the Liberators urged the region’s leadership to address their differences privately, rather than publicly through the media.
“We are calling on all Niger Delta leaders to put aside their differences and work towards the betterment of the region,” said the duo.
The group’s statement highlights the need for Niger Delta leaders to present a united front in addressing the region’s challenges. With the region’s development and peace at stake, the call for unity is seen as a timely reminder of the importance of collaboration and cooperation.
The Ewein Day celebration served as a platform for reflection and renewed commitment to Niger Delta’s struggle. “It’s time for leaders to prioritize the region’s interests and work together towards a brighter future” they noted.
