EX-MILITANT LEADERS CONGRATULATE GOVERNOR SIMINALAYI FUBARA, STATE LEGISLATOR— HAIL TOMPOLO FOR RESTORING PEACE IN RIVERS STATE

The leadership of the Phase 3 Amnesty Programme has extended heartfelt congratulations to the democratically elected Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Siminalayi Fubara, and the 23 members of the State House of Assembly, applauding their commitment to democratic governance and peace building.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the National Chairman of Phase 3 Amnesty, General Ogidigba Godstime Ogidigba, emphasized the significant role played by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, in restoring peace and fostering unity in Rivers State.
The leaders commended Tompolo for using the occasion of his 52nd birthday celebration as a platform to advocate for peace and reconciliation, particularly between Governor Fubara and his political leaders, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, His Excellency Nyesom Wike. The group hailed Wike for his maturity and statesmanship in opening the door for meaningful dialogue, an approach they described as highly commendable and in the interest of regional stability.
General Ogidigba further noted that Tompolo’s intervention has brought renewed hope and calm to not just Rivers State, but the entire Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large. He lauded Tompolo’s consistent commitment to peace, unity, and development, stating that his efforts are yielding tangible results that benefit the nation.
The group called on all stakeholders to continue supporting peace initiatives and dialogue, driven leadership for the sustainable development of the Niger Delta and the progress of Nigeria as a whole
