Warri Federal Constituency Youth O’clock Movement led by Hon. Daniel Ezekiel, ADC aspirants for the Warri Federal Constituency House of representatives seat has expressed shock and disappointment over the increasing trend of youth verbally attacking and disrespecting traditional rulers in Delta State, particularly in Warri Federal Constituency.

In a statement, the group described the behavior as “strange” and contrary to the cultural values of respect and honor for traditional institutions. They emphasised that traditional rulers are custodians of culture, unity, and peace, and should be treated with dignity.

The statement, signed by Comrade Hon. Daniel Ezekiel Perela, Aspirant, House of Representatives, Warri Federal Constituency 2027, urged youths to refrain from insulting or ridiculing traditional rulers, warning that it undermines their identity and portrays them as uncivilized.

The group called on youths from the Izon, Urhobo, and Itsekiri ethnic groups to protect their culture, preserve unity, and promote peace in Warri Federal Constituency. They emphasised that disagreeing with others should not justify disrespecting revered traditional leaders.

The statement concluded with a call to action, urging youths to respect their royal fathers and work towards building a better future for themselves and their communities.
