FG Says It Has Disbursed N419bn Cash Transfers To Nearly 6 Million Nigerians, Plans Additional N54bn Payout In August

The Federal Government has announced that it has so far disbursed a total of N419 billion under its Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme, reaching close to six million Nigerians across the country.

According to government officials, the initiative is aimed at providing relief to vulnerable households and cushioning the impact of economic hardship.

The administration further disclosed that another N54 billion will be released in August, targeting about 2.2 million beneficiaries.

Authorities maintain that the cash transfer programme is part of President Bola Tinubu’s broader effort to reduce poverty and support low-income families as the country grapples with rising costs of living.
