Firefighters, Police Officers Injured As Explosion Hit Germany

Following an explosion inside an apartment in the high rise building in Ratingen, North Rhine, not less than 10 police officers and firefighters had been Injured.
The incident which was confirmed by North Rhine Interior Minister, Herbert Reul, he affirmed that Ten firefighter and two police officers were injured during rescue operation after receiving a distress call.
It was reported that the explosion was caused by a 57-year-old man who closed the door after the explosion and set the whole building on fire.
In one of the flats, a lifeless body was found during a search by the police officers.
It was reported that the whole building was housed with petroleum products or another flammable substance.
However, police officers apprehended the suspect and called the act “incomprehensible” how officers of the law and firefighters went on a rescue mission and ended up risking their lives.
