Renowned Niger Delta activist, Comrade Ozobo Austin, has dismissed impeachment threats against Governor Siminialayi Fubara by the Rivers State Assembly as a plot of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

In a statement, Ozobo advised the Rivers State Assembly to resolve their differences with Governor Fubara peacefully, cautioning against escalating tensions.

“Wike is trying to manipulate the situation, but he will not succeed. The Rivers Assembly should not be swayed by his tricks. They should sit down and talk with Governor Fubara, resolve their issues, and move the state forward,” Austin said.

The activist emphasized that Governor Fubara has the support of the people and urged the Assembly to focus on legislation that benefits Rivers State rather than engaging in power struggles.

“There’s no need for war. Let’s work together for the good of Rivers State,” Austin appealed.

According to him, the recent political crisis in the state should sound a lesson to the state Assembly and political actors.
