The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reaffirmed his faith in divine justice while decrying what he described as unfair and misleading media coverage of his ongoing trial.

Speaking briefly to journalists at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Kanu declared, “God is a God of justice,” moments before being escorted into the courtroom by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). He accused certain media outlets of deliberately distorting facts about his case to misinform the public and damage his image.

The separatist leader, who is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism, has consistently maintained his innocence. His legal team also expressed frustration over alleged violations of court orders and restrictions placed on their access to him in custody.

Supporters gathered outside the court premises chanting solidarity songs, demanding Kanu’s release and accusing the government of persecution. The case was later adjourned for further hearing.
