Gov. Uba welcomes Winner of the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2025

The Kaduna state Governor, Mal. Uba Sani has received the senior management team of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
Director-General, Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, in the company of the Winner of the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2025, Malam Al-Amin Muhammed Idris, was in the Governor’s office to present the Kaduna state indigene that emerged winner of this year’s NexGen Innovation Challenge 2025.
Governor Uba Sani described the winner as a worthy and accomplished son of Kaduna State.
“The visit provided an opportunity for constructive engagement, during which the Director-General commended our administration’s forward-thinking and innovative approach to governance. He particularly acknowledged the strategic deployment of technology and data-driven solutions in addressing insecurity, as well as our sustained efforts to stimulate growth in critical sectors such as agriculture. Dr. Kazeem also expressed his appreciation for the prompt approval of travel sponsorship that enabled Malam Al-Amin, alongside relevant government officials, to participate in the NextGen Innovation Challenge held in London, United Kingdom. Gov. Uba said.
In his remarks, Malam Al-Amin Muhammed Idris conveyed profound gratitude to the Kaduna State Government for its inclusive leadership philosophy, which supported his aspirations and achievements without the benefit of prior personal contact or acquaintance. He emphasized that the encouragement, confidence, and institutional backing he received from the Government were instrumental to his success on the global stage.
“I commended Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji for his exemplary leadership and for steering the National Board for Technology Incubation toward the effective and impactful delivery of its mandate.
I also congratulated Malam Al-Amin for emerging victorious from a competitive pool of over 3,000 participants in London. His innovative project, Interface Africa, secured an investment commitment of £1.5 million, aimed at scaling clean energy solutions across the African continent. Gov. Uba said.
Gov. Uba further said, his administration remains steadfast in its commitment to inclusive governance that empowers young people and supports innovation irrespective of background, in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“In furtherance of this vision, I reaffirm that the Kaduna State Government will continue to nurture bold ideas and transformative talents, as exemplified by the establishment and full equipping of Institutes of Vocational Training and Skills Development across the three senatorial zones of the State. Gov. Uba said.
