Gov’ship poll: Okowa orders closure of schools for 3 days

The governor of Delta state has ordered the closure of schools for three days following the governorship and Houses of Assembly elections rescheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The governor had directed all primary and secondary schools in the state to proceed on break on Friday 17th, Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st March 2023.

The directive was issued by the Director of Schools in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs Oderhohwo Kehinde.

In the statement, the Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) across the 25 local government areas of the state were asked to disseminate the information to all Principals/Head Teachers in their respective areas.
